Existentialism

Reiner Maria Rilke was born in Prague, in 1875, which was at the time a great cultural center of the Austrian Empire. He studied in Prague and in Munchen and, during that time, travelled across Europe, to Russia, even to Egypt. He was active in the Existentialist movement, together with other great authors of the time, like Jean Paul Sartre, Albert Camus, Franz Kafka, Martin Heidegger.
